Jamia Millia Islamia is a public central university situated in the capital of India, New Delhi. The university is accredited by NAAC with an A++ grade and approved by the UGC. It was established in 1920 by a group of nationalists and intellectuals to enhance the quality of education for students. As per NIRF 2023 statistics, the Jamia Millia Islamia ranking in the university category is 3 while for the overall category, the university holds 12th rank. As per QS World University Rankings, Jamia stands at 206 rank in the Asia category while in the Top Global Universities category, the ranking is 951-1000. In the overall category of Times Higher Education (THE), the JMI ranking is 501-600.
The Jamia Millia Islamia courses are approved by the UGC (University Grants Commission). The university offers 33 undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral degree programmes in various fields namely arts, science, management, engineering, law and more. The university also offers distance courses through its Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE). The Jamia Millia Islamia course admissions are offered for popular courses such as B.Tech, BA, B.Sc, M.Sc, MBA, M.Tech, MAMC, PhD, and others. Apply Online: The candidates will have to apply online through the official website of Jamia Millia Islamia at https://jmicoe.in/.
Documents Submission- Applicant will have to submit all essential documents such as educational qualification, scores card, photograph and signature, etc. Once the documents are submitted, candidates can submit the application form
Pay Fee Online: The applicants must submit a non-refundable Jamia Millia Islamia application fee online through any mode such as credit card, debit card, UPI or net banking. The application fee differs for different courses.
Appear for Entrance Examination: The candidates will have to appear for the relevant entrance examinations such as CUET, JEE Mains, CUET PG, NATA, NEET, etc. to take admission in their choice of subjects. For many courses in the arts and science stream, the applicants will have to appear for the Jamia Entrance Test.
Merit List- The candidates will have to wait for the university to release the merit list on the basis of their performance in the qualifying examination whether it is merit-based or entrance examination-based. If any candidate qualifies the entrance examination, they will be getting offer letter for Jamia Millia Islamia admission.
Counselling Process- The students who qualify the different entrance examinations will have to go through the process of counselling to get the final offer letter.
Acceptance of Offer and Fee Submission: If the applicants get selected for any course and accept the offer letter, then they will have to pay the admission fee within the stipulated time frame. If they fail to pay the fee in time, then those seats will be allocated to waitlisted candidates.

Jamia Millia Islamia cutoff is released for admission in UG and PG courses. The cutoff is derived from marks obtained by candidates in entrance examinations. The students who meet the cutoff marks and ranks have to undergo the counselling process. The university releases the cutoff in online mode on its official website. Sports Complex: The Jamia Millia Islamia Sports Complex, also known as Bhopal Ground, is located near the main campus of Lamia. The late Begum of Bhopal, mother of late Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, gave the land that bears her name (former Indian Cricket Captain). The ground's peripheral currently includes a Centrally Air Conditioned Indoor Games Stadium as well as a Viewers Gallery that meets all International requirements.
JMI Delhi Hostel: There are 7 male hostels at Jamia Millia Islamia campus, with a combined capacity of around 1200 students. Dining halls, mess halls, gymnasiums, and Wi-Fi are all available at hostels. There is also a Begum Hazrat Mahal Girls' Hostel, which has a dining hall, laundry, solar-heated restrooms, a common room with a TV, a reading hall, a canteen/tuck shop, a gymnasium, and a beauty salon, among other amenities.
